Welcome

I was born in the middle years of Generation X and have become a son, a brother a husband and a father. Along the way I discovered I liked books, games, technology and economics. I also enjoyed being around people, listening to music, eating good food and drinking whisky and beer. I can put up with a lot of bullshit as long as it serves a bigger cause. I believe good technology and design can save humanity. I am an optimist but probably only because I'm scared of the dark.

I spent practically all my adult years working in a large global bank. I was happy most of the time - more than one expects to be in a job which pays that well. By the time I started by third decade with the bank, I had worked and lived in all the major financial centers, travelled the world and led several successful teams and projects. There were factors at work though which came to a head in early 2018 which led to my departure a year later.

And now I'm taking a break while figuring out what to do next.

The following pages are my thoughts on a few things. Some of them may deserve your time. Please read, think and leave me your thoughts...
